While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

ICRC confirms humanitarian crisis in Gaza reached "catastrophic levels"

GENEVA, May 13, 2025 (WAFA) —

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) confirmed that the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip has reached "catastrophic levels," calling for an urgent resumption of the ceasefire, protection for civilians, and guaranteed delivery of humanitarian aid.

"There is an urgent need for political will to save lives and resume the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip," said ICRC President Mirjana Spoljaric in a statement issued last night.

"It is essential to spare civilians the ravages of hostilities and to ensure the safe and unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid," she added.

Spoljaric emphasized that "the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza has reached catastrophic levels," emphasizing that "the resumption of the ceasefire is a necessity that cannot be delayed."

The ICRC expressed its full commitment to carrying out protection and assistance activities in the Gaza Strip, as part of its humanitarian mandate, including facilitating the release of detainees, providing medical assistance, and other essential humanitarian support.

UN: Daily meal distribution in Gaza declines by 70 percent

Tuesday 13-May-2025

NEW YORK, (PIC)

UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric said the number of daily meals provided to citizens in the Gaza Strip decreased by 70 percent this week compared to last week.

Addressing a news conference at the UN headquarters in New York on Tuesday, he stressed the importance of UN teams entering Gaza and identifying citizens’ needs on the ground.

He pointed out that the number of daily meals in the Gaza Strip decreased from 840,000 meals last week to 260,000 — a 70 percent decline.

Dujarric stressed that humanitarian aid is not limited to food alone, stressing the need to provide water, health, nutrition, education, and protection services directly to Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

The UN spokesman warned that fuel already started to run out in health and water facilities in Gaza — which has been under tight siege since last March.

“Healthcare in Gaza is on the brink of collapse, with hospitals facing large numbers of wounded amid severe shortages of basic supplies, equipment, blood, and medical personnel,” he added.

Lazzarini: Israel’s use of starvation as a weapon constitutes a war crime

Tuesday 13-May-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

Philippe Lazzarini, Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), stated that Israel’s use of food and humanitarian aid as a weapon in its war on Gaza constitutes a clear war crime that must not be ignored.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, Lazzarini stressed that what has been unfolding in Gaza over the past nineteen months, and particularly in recent weeks, is the deliberate use of food and humanitarian supplies to achieve political or military objectives against civilians.

He underlined that such actions amount to a war crime, saying: “The international court will make its judgment, but what we are witnessing on the ground confirms this inhumane use of deprivation.”

Lazzarini described the suffering of Palestinians in Gaza as reaching indescribable levels, adding: “I cannot find the words to fully capture the misery and tragedy people are enduring. Hunger is spreading. People are exhausted, starving. If the situation continues without urgent intervention, people may not die from the bombing—but from hunger.”

He referred to international reports, including the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) report, which confirm that Gaza is on the brink of famine. The entire population of more than two million people—roughly half of them children—are facing severe food insecurity, starving due to the ongoing Israeli blockade.

Lazzarini called on the international community to act immediately to ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza, warning that continued blockade will lead to an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe.

UN says number of daily meals provided to the Palestinian people in Gaza decreased by 70% this week

NEW YORK, May 13, 2025 (WAFA) —

UN spokesman Stéphane Dujarric said the number of daily meals provided to civilians in the Gaza Strip decreased by 70% this week compared to last week.

In statements during a press conference at UN headquarters in New York on Tuesday, he stressed the importance of UN teams entering Gaza and identifying citizens' needs on the ground.

He pointed out that the number of daily meals in the Gaza Strip decreased from 840,000 meals last week to 260,000, a 70 percent decrease.

Dujarric emphasized that humanitarian aid is not limited to food alone.

He pointed to the need to provide direct water, health, nutrition, education, and protection services to Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

The UN spokesman warned that fuel is running out in health and water facilities inside the Gaza Strip, which has been under a tight Israeli blockade since last March.

He added: "Healthcare in Gaza is on the brink of collapse, as hospitals are facing large numbers of wounded amid a severe shortage of basic supplies, equipment, blood, and medical personnel."

The World Health Organization had previously stated that preventing immediate access to food and essential supplies in the Gaza Strip was causing "further deaths and a slide into famine."

It pointed to the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) analysis released on Monday, which stated that 470,000 people in Gaza were facing "catastrophic levels of hunger (IPC Phase 5)," and that the entire population was suffering from acute food insecurity.

The report also noted that approximately 71,000 children and more than 17,000 mothers were expected to require urgent treatment for acute malnutrition.

Gaza: With famine looming, FAO urges immediate access to save livelihoods and food production

NEW YORK, May 13, 2025 (WAFA) —

With the imminent risk of famine, agriculture on the brink of total collapse, and the possible outbreak of deadly epidemics in Gaza, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) has called for immediate restoration of humanitarian access and the lifting of blockades.

The urgent call comes in response to the latest Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) analysis issued on Monday warning that the entire population of the Gaza Strip – approximately 2.1 million people – is facing a critical risk of famine following 19 months of conflict, mass displacement, and severe restrictions on humanitarian aid.

According to the report, between 1 April - 10 May 2025, 93 per cent of the population, which translates to 1.95 million people, were classified in Crisis or worse (IPC Phase 3 or above), including 244,000 people, or 12 percent of the population, in IPC Phase 5 (Catastrophe), and 925,000 (44 percent) in IPC Phase 4 (Emergency).

For the projection period from 11 May to the end of September 2025, the entire population in Gaza is expected to face Crisis or worse acute food insecurity (IPC Phase 3 or above).

“The international community must act now. The immediate restoration of access to humanitarian and commercial supplies at scale is critical. Every delay deepens hunger and accelerates starvation, bringing us closer to famine,” said FAO Director-General QU Dongyu.

“If we fail to act, we are failing to uphold the right to food, which is a basic human right and the legal protections that uphold it, undermining one of the core principles safeguarding civilian survival.”

Reestablishing immediate humanitarian access is critical to maintaining minimum local food production, particularly of livestock. Despite efforts from FAO – having already distributed over 2,100 tons of animal feed and veterinary kits to more than 4 800 herders in Gaza –, current supplies fall far short of growing needs. More veterinary kits, animal feed, and other supplies are ready to be deployed by FAO and partners as soon as access is granted.

Commercial production of livestock has largely ceased, with most operations now limited to household-level production for self-consumption. Even with drastically reduced livestock numbers – sheep down to 36 percent, goats to 39 percent, cattle to 3.8 percent, layers and broilers to 1.4 percent, and working animals to 79.5 percent – these remaining animals are vital for household food security. For many families, they provide the last accessible source of milk, eggs, and meat.

Following the ban on all humanitarian and commercial inputs, an additional 20 to 30 percent of livestock are predicted to have perished. Preserving the remaining animals now is essential to prevent irreversible losses that could collapse livestock-dependent livelihoods entirely.

Without feed and veterinary kits, not only do herders lose these critical food sources, but untreated animals also pose serious public health risks by becoming vectors for disease, particularly for those working closely with animals. Immediate access is essential to prevent further losses, maintain basic nutrition, and safeguard public health.

Before October 2023, around 42 percent of Gaza’s land (over 15 000 hectares) was used for crops, orchards, and livestock grazing. But a geospatial assessment carried out by FAO and UNOSAT between October and December 2024 reveals that 75 percent of fields once used to grow crops and olive tree orchards have been damaged or destroyed.

More than two-thirds of Gaza's agricultural wells (1 531 in total), which rely on groundwater for irrigation and agriculture, were no longer functional as of early 2025, severely debilitating irrigation efforts.

A new FAO-UNOSAT assessment is under way and early indications suggest a further reduction in usable agricultural land, leaving little space to preserve or restore livelihoods.

Meanwhile, World Food Programme Executive Director Cindy McCain warned that "entire families are starving while aid is held up at borders without permission to enter," stressing that "famine doesn't come suddenly; it occurs when people are denied access to food and care."

UNICEF Executive Director Catherine Russell emphasized that hunger and malnutrition have become a daily reality for Gaza's children, calling for immediate action to avert a humanitarian catastrophe.

Death toll across Gaza Strip surges to 52,908, over 119,721 injured

GAZA, May 13, 2025 (WAFA, PIC) –

During the past 24 hours, hospitals in the Gaza Strip received the bodies of 31 civilians who were martyred in fresh Israeli attacks, along with the bodies of 15 other people who were reported missing in previous attacks.

At least 46 Palestinians were killed and 73 others were injured in the Gaza Strip over the last 24 hours as a result of the ongoing Israeli genocide in the region, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza.

They confirmed that the Palestinian death toll from the Israeli onslaught since October 2023 has risen to 52,908 fatalities, with an additional 119,721 individuals sustaining injuries. The majority of the victims are women and children.

According to the Ministry, the death toll since Israel’s resumption of the genocide on March 18 after a two-month truce has also climbed to 2,749, with nearly 7,607 reported wounded.

Emergency services are still unable to reach many casualties and dead bodies trapped under the rubble or scattered on roads across the war-torn enclave, as Israeli occupation forces continue to target ambulance and civil defense crews, according to the health authorities.

Israel assassinates Gaza’s anti-narcotics police chief, interior ministry mourns him

Tuesday 13-May-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

The Palestinian Ministry of Interior Affairs and National Security in Gaza has mourned Brigadier General A'hmed Al-Qidra, Chief of the anti-narcotics police and member of the police command council, saying he was assassinated in an Israeli airstrike in Khan Younus early Tuesday morning.

In a statement, the Palestinian Ministry of Interior Affairs in Gaza said that Al-Qidra had remained dedicated to his job throughout the Israeli genocidal war on Gaza and never hesitated to serve his people.

The Ministry accused the Israeli occupation army of systematically targeting the security and police sector and its members during its ongoing war on Gaza, “as part of its attempts to create security chaos and instability” in the war-ravaged territory.

The Ministry affirmed that it would continue to fulfill its duties to the fullest and vowed to stand strongly in the face of Israeli attempts to undermine the internal front and create chaos in Gaza.

The Israeli occupation apartheid regime continues deadly attacks across Gaza

Tuesday 13-May-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

The Israeli occupation apartheid regime army continued last night and on Tuesday to carry out deadly attacks on different areas of the Gaza Strip, killing and injuring dozens of civilians.

According to local media sources, Israeli forces also continued today to detonate more homes and displace families in the Gaza Strip, further deepening the dire humanitarian crisis as the population grapples with worsening famine.

According to the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) reporters in Gaza, Israeli attacks have continued across the Gaza Strip, including an Israeli strike on a tent that killed parents and their child in Al-'Amoudi area in northern Gaza.

Another Israeli attack claimed the lives of three civilians and injured others in the vegetable market in Gaza City’s ash-Shuja’iyya neighborhood.

Casualties were also reported following an Israeli airstrike near Al-Nujoum venue in Gaza City’s Al-Zaytoun neighborhood.

Two citizens were injured when an Israeli drone opened fire at them in Tel Al-Hawa neighborhood in Gaza City.

The Israeli occupation army also targeted a gathering of citizens near the gate of Asda jail in Khan Younus, south of Gaza, killing one of them and injuring others.

Meanwhile, several Palestinians in Gaza were pronounced dead after they succumbed to injuries they sustained in recent attacks.

The Israeli occupation army also launched attacks on other areas of the Gaza Strip last night and today, killing and wounding more civilians, including children and women.

24 Palestinians killed, dozens injured and missing by an Israeli genocidal strike near European Hospital in Khan Younus

Tuesday 13-May-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

At least 24 Palestinians were killed, and dozens more were injured or reported missing after an Israeli airstrike using incendiary munitions targeted the vicinity of the European Gaza Hospital in Khan Younus, southern Gaza. One of the strikes also hit a residential home in the area.

The Civil Defense in Khan Younus reported that their teams managed to evacuate more than 20 wounded individuals and recover the bodies of 24 victims. However, while carrying out their work at the site, rescue teams were directly targeted by Israeli fire.

Several members of the emergency crews sustained injuries, forcing teams to withdraw due to the dangerous conditions on the ground. Many of the casualties remain trapped under rubble as emergency coordination is ongoing to resume rescue efforts and recover the dead and wounded.

Earlier, in an initial toll, medical sources had confirmed at least six fatalities and many injuries, along with reports of missing civilians beneath the debris. The attack involved a “fire belt” bombing pattern, which heavily damaged the surroundings of the hospital.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health confirmed that the European Gaza Hospital and its surroundings were struck by a series of heavy Israeli airstrikes, causing massive destruction. Several civilians were buried under the rubble in the hospital’s outer courtyard.

Due to the scale of the attack and the hospital’s inability to manage the influx of casualties, a state of emergency was declared in the emergency and reception departments at Nasser Medical Complex.

Journalist 'Amr Tabash, who was present during the attack, reported that the strike occurred while many children and patients were gathered in and around the hospital. He described the force of the blast as so intense that it threw him and others several meters into the air, as a metal shelter collapsed over them—shielding them from flying shrapnel.

He also noted that medical and administrative staff from the World Health Organization were present, along with dozens of children and their families preparing for medical evacuation abroad.

The death toll in Gaza continues to rise rapidly amid relentless Israeli bombardment. The war on the besieged enclave has now entered its 583rd day, as the international community remains shamefully silent.

Since October 2023, Israel’s military assault has killed 52,908 Palestinians and injured 119,721, many of whom are children and women. Since the resumption of the genocide and the breakdown of the ceasefire on 18 March 2025, at least 2,780 Palestinians have been killed and 7,680 wounded.

Israeli genocidal air strike kills two Palestinians, injures others west of Khan Younus

GAZA, May 13, 2025 (WAFA) –

An Israeli strike on Tuesday evening killed two Palestinians and injured others to the west of Khan Younus in the southern Gaza Strip, according to WAFA correspondent.

He said that Israeli fighter jets conducted an airstrike targeting a tent sheltering displaced people to the west of the city, killing two civilians and injuring others.

He added that the fatalities and casualties were rushed to Kuwait Specialized Hospital, a field hospital.

Another civilian succumbed to the wounds he had sustained earlier due to Israeli bombing west of the city.

Meanwhile, an Israeli combat drone opened fire at civilians in Al-Zaytoun and Tel Al-Hawa neighborhoods, south of Gaza City, resulting in several casualties.

Another civilian sustained injury due to Israeli artillery shelling in the vicinity of the Shawa Square, east of Gaza City, at a time when Israeli shelling targeted As-Sikka Street, east of Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, and a series of airstrikes pounded Bait 'Hanoun town in the northern Strip.

Israel unilaterally ended the Gaza ceasefire agreement and resumed its aggression on the Strip on Tuesday, March 18, carrying out a wave of bloody airstrikes across the Strip and killing hundreds of Palestinians, including over 100 children.

The death toll reached at least 2,780 with 7,680 others wounded, according to medical sources. In the last 24 hours, the bodies of 46 slain Palestinians, including 31 bodies retrieved from the rubble, and 73 casualties were admitted to hospitals in the Strip.

The aggression was resumed amidst concerns over the deterioration of the humanitarian situation in the Strip given the ongoing siege and ban on the entry of medical and humanitarian aid.

Israel has waged a military onslaught on the Strip since October 2023, killing 52,908 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injuring 119,721 others.

Moreover, at least 10,000 people are unaccounted for, presumed dead under the rubble of their homes throughout the Strip.

The Israeli aggression has also resulted in the forceful displacement of nearly two million people from all over the Gaza Strip, with the vast majority of the displaced forced into the densely crowded southern city of Rafah near the border with Egypt – in what has become Palestine’s largest mass exodus since the 1948 Nakba.

Civilians killed and injured in Israeli strikes near European Hospital in Khan Younus

GAZA, May 13, 2025 (WAFA) –

Several civilians were killed and others were injured on Tuesday evening in Israeli airstrikes targeting the vicinity of the European Hospital in Khan Younus in the southern Gaza Strip.

According to WAFA correspondent, Israeli warplanes carried out heavy bombardments around the hospital, resulting in civilian casualties, including fatalities and injuries, with others reported missing. The hospital also sustained damage in the attacks.

Since October 7, 2023, Israeli forces have carried out a relentless aggression on the Gaza Strip, resulting in the killing of 52,908 civilians, mostly women and children, and the wounding of 119,721 others.

This toll remains incomplete, as many victims remain trapped under the rubble or scattered on the streets, inaccessible by ambulance and rescue crews.

Palestinian Health Ministry condemns Israel’s bombing of Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younus

Tuesday 13-May-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza Strip condemned the heinous crime committed by Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) early Tuesday morning against the patient and wounded by directly targeting the surgery building at the Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younus, which led to the martyrdom of two and the injury of others while receiving treatment.

“The repeated targeting of hospitals and the pursuit and killing of the wounded inside hospital treatment rooms confirm the IOFs deliberate intention to inflict the greatest possible damage on the health system and to hinder the treatment of the wounded and sick,” the ministry said in a statement.

Two citizens were killed, one of them was journalist 'Hasan Sulai'h, who was receiving treatment for his injury sustained in a previous IOFs attack, the ministry explained.

'Hamas: Assassination of journalist 'Hasan Sulai'h reflects the Zionist sadism

Tuesday 13-May-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

The 'Hamas Resistance Movement said that the Israeli assassination of journalist Hassan Esleih while receiving treatment at Nasser Hospital is a “new war crime reflecting Zionist sadism.”

“In a new crime added to the Zionist occupation’s black record, the Zionist enemy forces committed a cowardly assassination against the heroic Palestinian journalist 'Hasan Sula'h by targeting him directly while he was receiving treatment at Nasir Hospital in Khan Younus. He had sustained wounds in a previous Zionist bombing that targeted a journalists’ tent in Khan Younus,” Hamas said in a statement on Tuesday.

'Hamas said that the assassination reflected a systematic determination to eliminate free voices and silence the truth, without the slightest regard for any human or legal values.

The Movement added that “this compound crime, which is a flagrant violation of all international and humanitarian laws, reflects the moral and media bankruptcy of the occupation, exposes the falsity of its claims before the world, and confirms that it is an entity based on terrorism and physical liquidation of anyone who exposes its crimes, especially journalists.”

'Hamas mourned the journalist martyr Sula'h and affirmed that “targeting journalists will not silence the voice of truth, nor will it intimidate the knights of the word and the image, who convey to the world the just narrative of our people and expose the atrocities and ongoing crimes of the occupation.”

With the martyrdom of journalist Sula'h, the number of martyrs from the Palestinian press has risen to 215 since the start of the criminal aggression against the Gaza Strip.

Hamas called on the international community, with all its international bodies as well as press and human rights institutions, to “shoulder, its legal and moral responsibilities, take urgent action to stop the occupation’s crimes against Palestinian journalists, impose deterrent sanctions on this criminal entity and its murderous leaders, and sever all political and media ties with it, as it poses a threat to press freedom and humanity as a whole.”

Journalist 'Hasan Sula'h was assassinated by Israeli occupation forces early Tuesday morning at the Nasir Medical Complex in Khan Younus where he was recovering from injuries sustained 37 days ago.

Israeli occupation occupation apartheid regime release nine Palestinian detainees from the Gaza Strip

GAZA, May 13, 2025 (WAFA) –

The Israeli occupation apartheid regime released nine detainees from the Gaza Strip, all of whom were detained during the ongoing aggression on the Strip since October 7, 2023.

The occupation forces have detained more than 10,700 Palestinians from the West Bank, including occupied Jerusalem, since October 7, 2023, along with thousands of citizens from Gaza and hundreds of Palestinians from 1948.

At the same time, torture against detainees has escalated in an unprecedented manner, according to dozens of testimonies monitored by relevant institutions. These crimes include unprecedented crimes, most notably torture, starvation, medical negligence, enforced disappearance, as well as tragic and harm.

Israeli military court extends detention of female journalist until next Thursday

RAMALLAH, May 13, 2025 (WAFA) –

The Israeli occupation's military court in Salem Tuesday extended the detention of 24-year-old journalist 'Haneen Qawareeq, from Nablus, until next Thursday, under the pretext of what the occupation alleges as “incitement” on social media. According to her lawyer, no formal charges have been filed against her so far.

The Commission for Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS) explained in a joint statement that Qawareeq was detained on May 7. She was initially transferred to Hasharon prison, and later moved to Damon prison, where she is currently being held.

Qawareeq is among more than 180 journalists who have been detained since the start of the genocide war against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, with 50 journalists still held in Israeli custody.

Since the onset of the genocidal war, Israeli authorities have intensified their campaign against journalists, aiming to tighten control over media coverage and enforce greater censorship. This escalation seeks to suppress journalists' fundamental rights to freedom of expression, opinion, and professional practice. This is in addition to the ongoing assassination of journalists in Gaza amid the ongoing genocide.

Israeli occupation forces abduct a Palestinian from refugee camp near Nablus

NABLUS, May 13, 2025 (WAFA) –

Israeli occupation forces on Tuesday evening abducted a Palestinian from the 'Askar refugee camp, east of the occupied West Bank city of Nablus, according to security sources.

They said that special forces sneaked their way into a barbershop in the refugee camp and abducted a young man.

Meanwhile, the occupation forces raided the Umm Al-Sharayit neighborhood in Al-Beereh City for the third day within less than 24 hours, triggering confrontations.

They also barged their way into the Qalandya refugee camp, north of Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), for the second time within less than 24 hours, where they fired barrages of tear gas canisters at Palestinians’ houses and stores, but without resulting in any casualties.

In the predawn and morning hours of today, the occupying forces rounded up at least 16 Palestinians in multiple raids across the occupied West Bank.

In the Bethlehem governorate, the occupation forces rounded up a man and severely up another in Al-Maniya Wilderness, inflicting bruises across his body.

In the Hebron governorate, the occupation forces detained six Palestinians and ransacked several houses in the Idthna town.

They also conducted a raid in the Bait Ummar town, north of Hebron, resulting in the detention of three Palestinians, a former prisoner and two brothers, and the confiscation of a privately-owned vehicle.

In the city of Al-Beereh, the sources confirmed a predawn raid in Al-Am'ari refugee camp, resulting in the detention of two Palestinians.

The occupation forces barged their way into Baitounia City, west of Ramallah, rounded up another Palestinian and ransacked his family's house, turning it upside down.

In the Nablus governorate, a convoy of army vehicles stormed the 'Askar refugee camp, where the soldiers besieged a house as drones hovered above the refugee camp.

The raid into the camp resulted in the detention of three Palestinians.

The Israeli occupation forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost daily across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for “wanted” Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents.

These raids are conducted without the need for a search warrant, whenever and wherever the military chooses, in keeping with its sweeping arbitrary powers.

Under Israeli military law, army commanders have full executive, legislative, and judicial authority over 3 million Palestinians living in the West Bank. Palestinians have no say in how this authority is exercised.

According to the latest figures from Al-Dhameer, the Palestinian Prisoner Support and Human Rights Association, there are currently 10,100 Palestinian political prisoners in Israeli prisons and detention centers, including 400 child prisoners and 35 female prisoners.

This number includes approximately 3,577 Palestinians placed under “administrative detention”, which allows the detention of Palestinians without charge or trial for renewable intervals ranging between three and six months based on undisclosed evidence that even a detainee’s lawyer is barred from viewing.

The mass arrest of Palestinians is nothing new. According to a 2017 report by Al-Dhameer, over the past 50 years, more than 800,000 Palestinians have been imprisoned or detained by Israel; this figure is now believed to be closer to 1 million. This means that about 40% of Palestinian men and boys living under military occupation have been deprived of their freedom. Almost every Palestinian family has suffered the imprisonment of a loved one.

Israeli occupation forces uproot dozens of olive trees, bulldoze farmlands south of Nablus

NABLUS, May 13, 2025 (WAFA) –

Israeli occupation forces Tuesday uprooted dozens of olive trees and bulldozed agricultural land in the village of Madama, south of Nablus.

'Abdullah Ziyada, head of the village council, stated that large areas of agricultural land were bulldozed overnight and dozens of olive trees were uprooted in a sudden escalation, without prior warning.

Ziyada noted that the uprooted olive trees are a vital source of livelihood for their owners, stressing that such actions fall within the framework of ongoing colonial expansion, the construction of military roads, and continued violations against Palestinian land and people.

He added that olive trees hold deep economic and cultural significance for Palestinians, and their uprooting is used as a means of pressure aimed at displacing residents or seizing more land.

Israeli occupation apartheid regime summons a Maqdisi (Jerusalemite) man, who thwarted an attempt by the illegal Israeli settlers to storm Al-Aqsa Mosque

Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), May 13, 2025 (WAFA) –

Israeli occupation authorities Tuesday summoned a Jerusalemite resident for interrogation in the Old City of Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem).

The Wadi Al-'Hilwa Information Center reported that Israeli authorities summoned Sa'eed Abu Najma for questioning at the Qishla police station in the Old City.

It is worth noting that Abu Najma, who lives near the Bab Al-Ghawanma gate, one of the entrances to Al-Aqsa Mosque, successfully thwarted an attempt yesterday by a group of Israeli colonists to storm the mosque’s courtyards. One of the colonists was hiding a small goat in a bag, intending to perform a ritual animal sacrifice inside the mosque compound.

Illegal Israeli settlers assault shepherds in southern West Bank

Al-Khaleel (Hebron), May 13, 2025 (WAFA) –

Illegal Israeli settlers on Tuesday assaulted Palestinian shepherds in Al-Tawani village in Masafir Yatta, south of the occupied West Bank city of Al-Khaleel (Hebron), according to a local source.

Mu'hammed Rabee', head of Al-Tawani Village Council, said that dozens of colonists, under military protection, attempted to assault the villagers, and some of them chased shepherds in the vicinity of the Havat Maon colony before the occupation forces stormed the village.

There was no immediate information on any casualties.

Masafir Yatta is a collection of almost 19 hamlets that rely heavily on animal husbandry as the main source of livelihood.

Located in Area C of the West Bank, under full Israeli administrative and military control, the area has been subjected to repeated Israeli violations by colonists and soldiers targeting their main source of living - livestock.

It has been designated as a closed Israeli military zone for training since the 1980s and accordingly referred to as Firing Zone 918.

Israeli violations against the area include demolition of animal barns, homes, and residential structures. The issuance of construction permits by Israel to local Palestinians in the area is non-existent.

Colonists’ violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.

Colonists’ violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.

Approximately 1 million Israeli colonists are living in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem in violation of international law.

Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), May 13, 2025 (WAFA) —

Israeli occupation forces Tuesday morning carried out demolition and leveling operations in the town of 'Anata, northeast of Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem).

The Jerusalem Governorate reported that an Israeli army force, accompanied by several bulldozers and machinery, stormed the Al-Bu'haira neighborhood in the town of 'Anata and began demolishing residential rooms and walls, uprooting trees and lands, and cutting electricity lines in the area.

The governorate explained that the demolitions affected two temporary rooms provided by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) as assistance to shelter the owners of homes previously destroyed by the occupation forces.

The Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission documented that the occupation authorities carried out 73 demolition operations in April, affecting 152 structures, including 96 inhabited homes, 10 uninhabited ones, and 34 agricultural and other structures. These operations were concentrated in the Tubas Governorate with 59 structures, the Hebron Governorate with 39 structures, and the Jerusalem Governorate with 17 structures.

'Hamas welcomes Belgian parliament motion calling for the arrest of Israeli war criminals

Tuesday 13-May-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

The 'Hamas Resistance Movement has applauded the Brussels-Capital Region Parliament for adopting a motion demanding the Belgian federal government to enforce International Criminal Court (ICC) arrest warrants against Israeli war criminals.

In a statement on Tuesday, 'Hamas called on the Belgian government “to honor the parliament’s decision and enable international justice to fulfill its mandate in accordance with the principles of international law, which reject the brutal practices of Netanyahu’s government and his genocidal war against defenseless civilians in the Gaza Strip.”

In a historic move, the Brussels parliament voted unanimously on Monday in favor of a resolution demanding the Belgian government to enforce arrest warrants issued by the International Criminal Court (ICC), including those against Israeli premier Benjamin Netanyahu and former war minister Yoav Gallant, who are facing charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

Earlier remarks by Belgian premier Bart De Wever, in which he claimed that Belgium would “unlikely” arrest Netanyahu if he visited the country, sparked widespread discontent among political and human rights circles.

The parliamentary resolution has included an explicit call to implement ICC arrest warrants against Israeli officials without exceptions.

It also includes a formal rejection of the Belgian prime minister’s statements granting political immunity to alleged perpetrators of crimes, and calls for the establishment of a permanent mechanism between the ministries of justice, foreign affairs, and judicial authorities to expedite ICC requests and for imposing specific sanctions on violators of international humanitarian law.

In a historic first, UK Parliament commemorates 77th anniversary of the Nakba in partnership with Palestinian Embassy

LONDON, May 13, 2025 (WAFA) –

In an unprecedented move, the British Parliament on Tuesday marked the 77th anniversary of the Nakba of 1948 in partnership with the Embassy of the State of Palestine.

The event took place within the walls of the UK Parliament in London, drawing attendance from members of major political parties, Arab and foreign diplomats based in the UK, and representatives from Palestinian, Arab, and Muslim communities across the country.

Speeches were delivered by Palestine's Ambassador to the UK Husam Zomlot, Conservative MP Kit Malthouse, and Scottish National Party MP Brendan O’Hara.

In his address, Ambassador Zomlot emphasized that the Nakba represents the foundation of the Palestinian people's ongoing struggle for freedom and justice. He condemned Israel for its continued violations of international and moral law, citing the killing of over 60,000 Palestinians in Gaza and the forced displacement of tens of thousands more in the West Bank.

Zomlot underscored that, despite these atrocities, the legitimacy of the Palestinian cause continues to grow stronger. He stressed Britain's historical, legal, and moral responsibility in the Nakba, which he said was triggered by Zionist militias in 1948 with the backing of the British Mandate authorities.

He urged the UK government to recognize the State of Palestine without delay and to uphold its commitments to international law. "Britain must lead, not follow," Zomlot said.

He concluded by affirming that the Nakba, while a symbol of loss, remains a beacon for future generations who continue to pursue liberation and the dream of an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.

Jordan condemns Israel's resumption of "Land Registration" in West Bank

AMMAN, May 13, 2025 (WAFA) —

Jordan reaffirmed its rejection and condemnation of Israel's decision, as the occupying power, to resume the so-called "settlement of land and property rights" process, particularly in Area "C" of the occupied West Bank.

According to Jordan News Agency (Petra), the Ministry of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs described the move as a blatant violation of international law and a continuation of efforts to impose Israeli sovereignty over the occupied Palestinian territory.

The ministry's official spokesperson, Ambassador Sufyan Qudah, stressed that the resumption of this policy contradicts international legitimacy and United Nations Security Council resolutions, especially Resolution 2334.

This resolution condemns all Israeli measures aimed at altering the demographic composition, character, and status of the occupied Palestinian territory since 1967, including East Jerusalem.

It also affirms that all Israeli settlement activities in the occupied Palestinian territory, including Al-Quds (occupation Jerusalem), are illegal under international law.

Furthermore, Qudah referenced the advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice, which confirmed the illegality of the Israeli occupation, settlements, and annexation of occupied Palestinian land, emphasizing that Israel has no sovereignty over the occupied Palestinian territory.

Ambassador Qudah called on the international community to assume its legal and moral responsibilities by compelling Israel to immediately halt its aggression on Gaza and its dangerous escalation in the occupied West Bank.

He urged the international community to provide the necessary protection for the Palestinian people, stop the crimes committed against them, hold those responsible accountable, and support the Palestinian people's legitimate right to establish their independent, sovereign state along the June 4, 1967 lines, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

Editorial Notes about terms & names of people and places:

1. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules.

2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet.

3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel.

4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed.

5. It is more accurate to refer to the
land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists.

The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies.

In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain.

6. It is more accurate to use the verbs "abduct" and "kidnap" than the verbs "detain" and "arrest," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people.
